2011-12 EWI Dallas Board

Hello and welcome to the EWI of Dallas website! Take a moment to browse and find most needed information about our Chapter’s history, our current Member Firms, scholarship information, and explore our newsletters.  EWI of Dallas is celebrating 60 years of success initiated by our first president, Ms. Lou Ballou, Executive Secretary, representing Louis Egan Co.  LLouThis is a phenomenal milestone in any organization and we are thankful that EWI of Dallas  continues to be a vital part of our firms and communities.  Here's a bit of history:

In 1938, Lucille Johnson Perkins had a vision of an organization that would bring together key women working with their executives to further the interests of their businesses for civic betterment and formed Executives Secretaries, Inc.  In 1964, ESI chartered the Calgary, Alberta chapter and in 1977, ESI changed its name to Executive Women International (EWI) to more accurately reflect its membership base and mission.

In 1951, the first Texas chapter was chartered in Dallas with 22 firms and in its 60 years of membership, EWI of Dallas has remained one of the strongest in the organization.  Our accomplishments are numerous and membership continues to grow.

Our mission:

The mission of EWI is simply one of bringing together key individuals from diverse businesses for the purpose of Connections, Careers and Community:

Connections – promoting member firms
Careers – enhancing personal and professional development
Community –  encouraging community involvement

These are our "Three C's" of the organization and are the core of our existence. At our monthly meetings, we invite dynamic speakers, hold “firm nights” in the promotion of member firms, award scholarships, and participate in numerous, worthwhile philanthropic endeavors.  We also continue the quest to raise much needed funds for the chapter’s EWI Scholarship Program (EWISP) for high school Juniors and Seniors, and scholarships for Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST).  When you find that our organization encompasses all you want to be and need further information, please contact our Membership Director, Deborah Tough of member firm Four Seasons Resort and Club at 972/717-2551 or  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
